Mr. Nugent is the Director of Consulting at Second Wind Consultants (“SWC”). He leads a team of highly skilled professionals focused on reorganizing distressed businesses. Mr. Nugent has proven to be industry agnostic and has successfully turned around businesses operating in manufacturing, hospitality, retail, consumer services, construction and technology. In his role as Director of Consulting, Mr.Nugent has developed various reorganization strategies used exclusively by SWC that leverage corporate structure, the Uniform Commercial Code, financial products and secured party collateral rights.
Prior to joining SWC, Mr. Nugent spent five years in the Chemical Research and Development industry where he applied his degree in chemistry, and talent for innovation. Mr. Nugent recognized early on that the successful development of new technologies requires a significant amount of business acumen. During his time in the Chemical R&D industry, Mr. Nugent obtained a Series 65 financial advisor license, real estate license and insurance license. A collection of professional achievements often referred to as the ‘FIRE’ (Finance, Insurance, Real Estate) suite.
Outside of the office, Mr. Nugent spends most of his time with his family. He coaches youth soccer and baseball, enjoys camping and hiking and is involved in hobby robotics.
