BankerLetsTalk.com – What’s This All About?
Dear Banker, let’s talk.
Sometimes it feels like a war is going on between the lending banks and the defaulting borrowers.
We have all become polarized, locked into our own arena, looking at the situation from the perspective of what’s in our own best interests. This is natural and sometimes appropriate, as we serve our own masters. I would suggest, however, that we raise our context and accept the possibility that if we work together more meaningfully, with a greater understanding of what each other’s needs are and how we can better meet in the middle, then overall we can improve the results. We can do so faster, more effectively, and with lower costs, less pain and more success.
To me, this is a better context, the proverbial win-win relationship where everyone gains.
To serve this end, I have created a blog, www.bankerletstalk.com, that attempts to speak to the contentious issues that tend to drive the two parties apart. It is my goal to create dialogue that will result in a better understanding between the two sides–banks and defaulting borrowers–and therefore, result in better conclusions for all involved. By exploring both sides of the situation, perhaps we can breathe clarity into and remove undesirable emotion from the business process. This would be a great result.
Thus I launch this blog and invite response, dialogue, opposition and opinion so that in the end we might all understand each better.
Onward through the fog, to victory.
