Women In Business – Do Your Debt Workouts
There have been more small businesses run by women in the past five years than by men. However, there are far, far fewer workouts being done by women-owned businesses than male-owned ones. Why is that?
Some tell me that they believe women run businesses more effectively than men. Maybe, but I doubt that’s true. Certainly, there are as many good male business owners and managers who are running successful businesses as there are women and everyone is equally affected by this recession. It is the consumers who are changing their ways and that reduces every one’s revenue irrespective of how well one runs a business. Still, there are far fewer women are doing debt workouts on defaulted loans than there are men.
WHY?
I do not know the answer, but I will put the question out to every woman in business. What are you doing about reduced revenues, increased overhead and bone-crushing debt incurred when business revenues were much higher now that the debt service payments are unsustainable because of changing market conditions? Fewer female business owners are doing debt workouts than male owners and thus, too few women-owned small businesses are surviving this downturn. That’s not good.
Women small business owners, call us. Let’s talk.
