2011…time to dust off the documents and call

Recently I’ve been receiving calls from small business owners who have gone through initial consultations some of which were over a year ago. Some feel strange or uncomfortable in explaining why they are calling back for help. I tell them that they shouldn’t feel embarrassed or hesitant to revisit their situation as they were obviously not prepared either mentally or financially at the time of the original consult to take the leap. Most entrepreneurs are and will always be eternal optimists and will fight tooth and nail to make a go of it despite the changes in the rules of the game. That’s what makes this country great and what will see us through the economic Armageddon we face these days. They did nothing wrong except hoping for a turn around that never came and now one that looks even further out on the calendar. We would welcome a second chance to speak to anyone we’ve consulted with during 2010 and give a fresh opinion on their current circumstances whether improved or worsening. Please don’t let pride or thinking that they’ve let us down by either not returning calls, emails etc in the past prevent picking up the phone. We know it’s sometimes hard to admit what may be perceived as failure, but it’s not failure it’s reality.
