Life Abounds

As my clients know, my wife recently gave birth to our first child.  She is a brand new, wonderful baby girl.

The addition of a child changed my life, despite the many cautionary tales, in ways I could not understand or anticipate before having my daughter in my life.  In my case it was a wonderful change and I am having a great time, but changes are not always good.  There are many times where the bad outweighs the good in our lives.  When our clients come to Second Wind for help.  They are in one of those times.

Normally our client does not appear with a single problem, but instead is being attacked by all sides and in need of help in every aspect of their lives.  Most are financially challenged, have massive debts, problems at home as a result of those debts, a failing business which is more of a hassle than an asset, and sometimes even more problems both legal and financial.  These men and women are in the worst possible situation in their entire life and need help.  Second Wind is a last resort to most.  Our rap sounds too good to be true and they do not believe anyone can do what we propose.  Some sign on because there are no other options, not because they believe in us others totally believe in us and thank God they discovered us.

In the beginning, the non-believing clients are hard to work with.  They push hard against the changes which need to occur.  They fail to produce the documentation we need to help them.  They expect some kind of immediate and graphic result with no work or even communication on their part.  This detracts from our speed as we must spend all our time devoted to reeling in our clients instead of strategy and banker conversations.  As the process unfolds and we answer their concerns these clients for the most part realize they have someone in their corner for the first time.  For many this is the first time they have had an ally ever!  They have gone through life pushing ahead on their own drive and skills and have never been able to rely on another for help.

At the end of the process, each and every client who has held on, thanks us for the work we have done and the life they can go back to living.  They have an intact business, employees and relationships are saved and they can start fresh.  This is not a puff piece or a sales pitch for non-clients to read.  The message is as follows:

Hang on.  The darkest moments in our lives are there to illustrate the happiness we also experience.  Do not let the pain and stress you go through hinder your ability to act, to move forward and to commit to your own salvation.
