Risk

Every decision or action we take in life requires risk.  Be it our personal, recreational, and yes our business life’s decisions,  risk is the common factor which must be weighed.  ”Is the potential for success worth the adherent risk involved.”   That is a question  business owners ask themselves continuously.  In that context,  it behooves us to also ask … “What are my option’s if I don’t take that risk?”  We also apply what I call a “Per-centage Factor”  to our decision’s to take risk.  What are the odds of success vs. failure!   All of the aforementioned  points are excellent analytical tools we should weigh before “Risk” is put into play!

There is one other tool which should be pursued with great vigor!  That tool is knowledge!  Every business decision you’ve ever made started with research. Be it deciding a marketing plan … to hours of operation and more!  What strategy presents a lesser risk factor than others.

Let’s briefly discuss the points made previously:

“What are my options if I don’t take that risk?” …  Simple answer!  Find a formula which totally turns your company around and allows it to flourish, and hope your local economy  does it’s share to enhance your sustainability … or frankly put,  continue on the road to ultimate business as well as personal financial collapse, possible bankruptcy,  which incidentally is NEVER a road to take – period!!
