Success Outside the Box

Sometimes the successes don’t always come from the bankers or lawyers acquiescing to our plan.  Sometimes the best success come in the relationship we have with our clients.

The workout process is terrifying to most clients, even those currently in workout and seeing positive impacts, but it is never so scary as in the beginning.  Many clients only half believe the strategy and despite the references and proof of our continued success, they shrink under the onslaught of creditor attack by phone and mail.

Recently I have had a client in a worse position than most.  This client has already tried to escape bankruptcy once and has been forced into a 7.  His landlord has locked the doors and put up closed signs on his two businesses, in short it is a terrible situation.  He has signed on, but like most people wants assurances of exactly how we are going to achieve a positive result before moving forward.  This gentlemen is an intelligent business owner who simply does not have the experience to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Finally today we have convinced him to provide us the financials we need to move forward and define the problems we need to solve.  Most clients don’t realize that little facts may be major issues in workout, it is not business as usual.  Having the facts in this case will be the difference between success and failure.

The process never fails, and now that the client is ready to give us the information this workout will avoid failure as well.  To me, this is one of the biggest successes Second Wind can have, getting what we need to save your business and your employee’s jobs.
