Water and Stone.

Who wins in a fight?  Water or Stone?

If you use a squirt gun to try and break a mountain, you will probably lose.  Even if you drop a stone into a lake, the stone comes through unharmed.

If you however ran flowing water over a stone for a millennia, the stone would break down and crumble.  Water takes time and eventually destroys the immovable.

This morning was a perfect example of using this lesson.  My client has been slowly cutting away at his credit card debts.  He had over seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars when he first came aboard.  In the course of non-payment American Express decided to pack three of his cards into one line and offered to settle it for Eighty percent.  The total was over one hundred thousand.

Knowing that my client had no way to come anywhere near, we chose the river’s path and gave a small swipe at the creditor every few weeks.  The creditor is a great guy and simply could not move and so we simply went back in forth with offers that neither could accept.  This process has taken months, but today the creditor’s caved.  The river crumbled the mountain of opposition and the bank is willing to settle for twenty cents on the dollar.  This is a major victory achieved through simple patience and persistance.
