This week I got the word from a very large SBA lender that they would accept my buyer’s offer of $20,000 for the business assets of a pizza restaurant chain (one that is fairly ubiquitous down south…). $20,000 is well below our benchmark for this particular brand, so you can imagine my excitement when the banker I was working with confirmed they’d agree to that number. Even more excited was my client, as we were unable to find any other buyers who were interested in these distressed assets.
