Victory begins with a commitment to fight.
I spend much of my time in the front lines with our clients and potential clients. I talk with each person who calls in for a tele-conference, analyze their predicament and propose a strategy that will preserve their assets and strip the debt away from their personal guaranty.
I understand the angst of such a situation, while the potential client is under severe pressure from the bank to pay curent, and the implicet threats are loud and clear, anything short of payment will result in a liquidation of the collateral. We all know this and most figure the only alternative is bankruptcy which most are reluctant to do for many reasons.
The situation seems very bleak indeed. There appears to be no good way out of this dilemma, no alternative solutions, nothing that works and supports survival, everything seems to point to liquidation ne way or another. Then after liquidation the debt seems to still be a noose around ones neck, no way out.
Then I explain the path to success, emerging intact, without loss of home, preservation of business assets and reduction of debt. No bankruptcy, no legal process, no lawyers, It does sound way to good to be true. To which I can only remind them of our references, our track record, and the logic we carry as our foundation of our strategies.
I remind them that we are following SBA standards, although we apply them differently then the banks would, and that we have had enormous success.
I feel their pain as they want to believe me but are challenged as so many have told them the opposite, that this arrangement cannot be fixed at all. That they either pay or perish. We say quite the opposite. What is one to do.
Many go away, unable to accept our proposal, failing to believe it can be as good as we say.
Others feeling no other option sign on hoping what we promise will come true.
The best calls I have are with those that get it, understand what we are doing and come to life excited and committed to success again, believing fully that we make sense and help is on the way.
Those are the moments I live for, when a business owner in serious trouble asks for help, receives our message and signs on with full faith that we will succeed. That’s the true moment of victory, as we know our strategies will win, but when the potential client crosses the line and becomes a believer also, and joins us, then we are invincible and we cannot lose.
Even if our potential client des not believe, but acts out of pure frustration, once we have the commitment changes begin to happen immediately and good things occur. The client begins to quickly realize we mean business and prepare thoroughly, and know exactly what we are doing. Very quickly our clients become believers as they see us prepare for battle and it feels, sounds, looks and is very good .
That’s my zen moment when it comes together, and it all begins when a potential client says yes and becomes a client crossing the line of disbelief into trust and commitment to us.
Thats really the beginning, trusting us because we believe… If we believe then maybe it will happen….it will.
Victory begins with the commitment to fight. I honor and respect those brave enough to follow their instincts and make the leap of faith…
We will not disappoint you. We never do.
