If you are in business, you are an expert…write a book!
Yes, we are all experts in something.
Most likely, your expertise surrounds your business mission. Think about it, after years of experience you certainly have something to say, no matter what your field of endeavor may be.
You can talk about the construction or building of the product, the history or evolution of it, how to care or use the item most successfully, how to repair it.
You can discuss all sorts of things with a little imagination you can conger up a story about any business.
A moving company made a small booklet on how to pack up your house successfully…Wow! did that make a difference for her, increased her business enormously. She advertised a free booklet on how to move and pack successfully and put the offer in her yellow page add, her business went through the ceiling, rapidly pushing her to the number one mover in her market area.
Service people have much to say, a house cleaner put a pamphlet together about how they clean a house and why its so much better then what the typical resident does…Another great document that propelled the business to new heights.
An electrician put together a booklet about safety hazards in the house that were associated with electrical issues, another huge money maker, creating new business every day.
A tree service business put one together that discussed trees, their care, removal and trimming, very informative and sold very softly, giving it away to prospective clients, yet created great public relations and new business.
A builder recently wrote about ‘green’ construction and available green products…there was huge demand for this information and a few houses came out of it.
Whatever you do there is a booklet in you about it, as anyone who concentrates on an aspect of business has a story to tell…so tell it.

Its called self-publishing, and the industry is set up to create a book and produce a dozen or a hundred whatever you want…great for self promotion activities. It has a low cost and with their assistance its a great project to do.

Its a sales tool, a promotional tool, and an opportunity to claim expert and secure your position in a competitive market…
