The Big three…Incentives, Training, Reviews… combined a Career Path

One goal of management that is seldomly recognized and incredibly valuable is the successful implementation of a Career Path for each employee in your business. If recognized as a specific goal and successfully implemented, your business will succeed beyond expectations.

Here are the three basic components of a Carer Path Plan, (individually discussed elsewhere in other blog entrees in this column) but now drawn together and evaluated as specific plans designed to achieve an entire strategy,…a successful operation.

Combined, taken seriously, implemented effectively, they form the foundation for operational success in your business..

As we know there are three basic areas of organization in every business..finance, sales and marketing and operations.

Operations, were the rubber meets the pavement, where the widget is produced or the service provided, the nuts and bolts of creating revenue, the stated purpose of the business (other then to earn profit), is a unique and extremely important part of the success equation (see other blog called Success Guaranteed!)

It is also fraught with issues and difficulty as this is where control, direction and support of your employee base resides, and we all know the challenges that brings us.

Thus while discussed separately in other blogs, here I want to focus on the enormous impact of all three programs, systems, working together to enhance, direct, and support your operation and more specifically your employee team.

Ok, we know that an incentive based reward system which includes the Rules and Regs for how you expect your employees to act and work is the starting point, this tool  maximizes productivity, improves and defines the appropriate attitude dramatically, and supports self direction and commitment to success.

It is with this tool that our workers become engaged almost as if they were part owners, and in a way they are as they are rewarded for success so their goals become success for the job, the company and of course themselves. Watch the changes occur in so many ways, as your employees come to work early and leave late, support one another and work together well, and increase their productivity enormously. Then we train our people, in many ways, to do their job more effectively, to increase their skill level, to manage more effectively, to do any number of things better all of which add to the career path in your business and the long term commitment, as well as increasing the effectiveness of your employee base, increasing revenue and productivity
